STEPS
We naturally think ahead and make plans for tomorrow, next week or the months to come. It isn’t a bad thing, because we should plan ahead and be prepared, but what we shouldn’t do is think that what we have planned is what will actually happen. We don’t determine the things that happen in our lives. We’re not sovereign or in control, God is, and He is the one that directs our steps. Whatever we plan (even if planned to the smallest detail), cannot be implemented unless it’s in line with God’s will for us. So, if something I have planned happens the way I planned it, praise the Lord. And if it doesn’t, I still praise the Lord because it wasn’t His will for me.
Therefore, as we makes our plans, let us do it humbly before God and surrendered to His ultimate will.
“The mind of a person plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.” (Proverbs 16:9)
