MY HOPE

There’s only one place I can put my hope and never be disappointed, and that’s in the Lord. Because my hope is in Him, I can persevere in His strength and find joy in times of trouble, knowing that God’s promises will be fulfilled. I know this because God is faithful and true to His word.

In Romans 4 it says, “Against hope, Abraham in hope believed, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, “So will your offspring be.”” (Romans 4:18 WEB). Abraham kept hoping even against all hope. He looked forward with joyful expectancy to the fulfillment of God’s promise.

So for now while I live on this earth I will wait. In difficult circumstances, I will wait. In pain and suffering, I will wait. Against all hope, I will wait, standing by faith in God’s grace and delighting in the fact that one day all that God has said will be done.

“I wait for the LORD. My soul waits. I hope in his word.” (Psalms‬ ‭130:5 WEB)
